Prayer Meeting And Bible Study

Prayer Meeting and Bible Study

On Tuesday evenings from 7.30 p.m. until 9.00 p.m. we meet in the hall for prayer and Bible Study.

After an opening hymn, time is spent in prayer until 8.15 p.m. Here we seek God's help and blessing for a wide variety of needs. The remainder of the time is devoted to the study of a specific passage from the Bible. The passage is read and there follows a verse by verse consideration of its teaching.

Recently we have enjoyed looking at Paul's letter to Titus, the prophecy of Isaiah and Paul's letter to the Ephesians. We are currently studying Luke's Gospel.

'All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works'. 2 Timothy chapter 3 verses 16 & 17
